Taking Computer-Based Tests (CBT) on the LMS Platform
To take your scheduled exams, log in to the LMS platform using either your
registered
email
address or student ID along with your password.
Exams will only become visible when two conditions are met: first, the
scheduled date and
time for the exam must have arrived, and second, your instructor must have activated the exam for your
account. If you don't see an exam you're expecting, it likely means either the time window hasn't
started yet or your instructor hasn't released it.
For certain protected exams, you'll need an exam token provided by your tutor before
you can
begin. This security measure ensures only authorized students can access the test. When you're ready to
start, click on the exam and enter the token if prompted. The system will then verify your credentials
and open the test interface.
Before beginning, carefully read all exam instructions displayed on screen. Pay special
attention to the time limit, question format (multiple choice, essay, etc.), and any special
requirements like webcam monitoring for proctored exams. Once you start, a countdown timer will begin -
note that this timer cannot be paused, so manage your time wisely.
During the exam, answer each question thoroughly. Use the navigation panel available to
review and change responses. Avoid refreshing the page or closing the browser window, as this may
automatically submit your test. If you encounter technical issues, immediately contact support and
provide details of the problem.
When finished, click the submit button to complete your exam. You'll will confirm your
submittion before the exam can be submitted. For automatically graded tests, your results may appear
immediately.
For exams requiring instructor review, scores will be posted once grading is complete.
After submission, you can check your results in the "Exams" section. Some
exams may allow you to review your answers, depending on settings chosen by your instructor. If you
believe there's an error in your grading, contact your instructor directly with your concerns.
Remember these important policies: late arrivals to an exam will not receive additional
time, the timer begins when you start and continues counting down even if you leave the page, and
token-protected exams cannot be accessed without the proper authorization code from your instructor.
Always ensure you have a stable internet connection before beginning any timed assessment.
This system is designed to provide a fair and secure testing environment for all
students.
By following these guidelines, you can ensure a smooth exam experience that accurately reflects your
knowledge and abilities.
